Several options are offered:
An ember stainless steel grill: Le Dérivé is delivered with its 8mm thick corten ember grill. In use, it will tend to deform, requiring it to be turned over once or twice a year. The optional grill is made of 316L stainless steel, 10 mm thick, therefore extremely solid.
On the other hand, stainless steel is less conductive of heat and has an effect (minimal) on the diffusion upwards of this same heat.
A corten cover: This option is offered if you do not have a suitable cover with a side of 60 cm. It is, in fact, preferable if not necessary to cover the Derivative when it is not used in the event of rain. Ashes tend to lump under the effect of water.
The ashtray is corten. So if you’ve emptied it out of the ashes, you won’t need a lid.
An agitator: It is a metal rod with a claw at its end. By sliding it between the bars of Le Dérivé, you can move or group the logs to concentrate or reduce the fire as desired.
A emblazoned handle: Like the agitator, it comes from the BRASECUE brand. This optional handle is entirely metallic and therefore extremely solid.
A service crate: This is a wooden packaging crate made in the carpenter tradition which, once the delivery has been made, will serve as an aesthetic service. It has its handle to be able to move it or place it on Le Dérivé (Cold of course), when you are not using it during your absences.
It is designed to be stable, always in the safety spirit of the brand, and therefore weighs a lot.
Ironworker’s gloves: These are gloves that go up the forearm used to load wood. Without being essential, they are recommended for the evenings of your teenagers, whose insurance we know …
Pre-oxidation: Corten is a slightly shiny blue gray steel.
After several weeks, it oxidizes on the surface, taking on its final rust appearance.
However, during this oxidation period, your Dérivé presents several shades while evolving. Pre-oxidation saves you this aesthetic expectation.
